How to Create a Presentable Advertisement for your Small Business
The way you advertise your products is also how you present it to the public. Just a little mistake on how you introduce your products and you may lose customers. Have you ever encountered a silly-looking advertisement and you started disliking the product on the ad even before you actually used it? That is also what other people feel, which is why being careful on how you create your ads is very important.
The first thing you need to know is how to create a presentable ad for products. Consider the following tips in creating a presentable advertisement for your small business:
What’s the Message of the Ad?
Your ad’s message is everything. It does not only have to say something about your product, but it has to be a “good” one.
Just like when a baker is selling his high-sugared cupcakes. The cupcakes are delicious but obviously, it is not good for the health. But all the baker will say is that his cupcakes taste really good. If he mentioned that it is bad for the health, do you think anybody would want to buy it? Even you wouldn’t buy it, right?
That is what advertising is all about. You need to think about the “ad message” that buyers or consumers would like to hear.
Know Your Product
What products are you selling? Do you know everything about your product and others of its like?
For example, you are trying to market clothing goods. You need to know everything about your products. What’s so good about them? What makes them different from other clothing line? Basically, those questions are what consumers want to know.
For sure there is something unique about your product, and that is what you’re going to mention in your ads.
How You Say it Matters
If you already know what to say, the next thing you need to know is HOW you say your advertisement.
We sometimes encounter retailers yelling to the public just to sell their products and persuade you to buy at that same moment. Not later, NOW. There are some that convince you to your nerves and those who couldn’t understand the word “No”.
Actually, they’re just doing their jobs. But clearly, they become really annoying at times. Of course, if you are advertising your own products, you don’t want customers to feel that way because you now know that they will be annoyed.
Consider advertisements from successful sellers such as Nike, Apple, Gatorade and eBay. Have you noticed these sellers rarely say “Buy our products”? But they are considerably selling their products successfully.
That is because they understand how far an ad would go if it has a positive effect on people and not so much on persuading them to buy the products.
Know Who’s the Target. It’s not You.
What you think about the ad is not your concern because the target is not you, but the public. Never do an advertisement alone. You need to ask suggestions from others so that you have an idea what the majority says about it.
A funny and humorous ad may look good to you, because it is your personality. But it may not look presentable for the public.
Remember, you’re not the target.
The way you present your advertisement will determine how many customers you can attract instead of dragging them into your products.
